Joel Vaughn is a contemporary Christian artist whose music has garnered national attention and consistent radio airplay. His upbringing was geographically diverse, spending his childhood in multiple states across the southern U.S., though he considers both Alabama and Texas his formative homes. Joel's musical journey began early, singing in church from the age of seven. He honed his skills by self-teaching guitar at 14 and began writing his own songs at 17.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree at West Texas A&M University, Joel began touring regionally in the southwest in 2005, marking the nascent stages of his professional music career. In 2013, he transitioned from a staff worship leader position to tour as an independent artist, a move that coincided with his music gaining wider recognition and national radio play. This led to his first record deal in 2016, and within a month, his debut single, "Wide Awake," debuted on the Billboard Hot AC chart, peaking at #16.
Since then, Joel has consistently released charting hits, with multiple songs reaching the Top 50 on Billboard Christian Airplay and Mediabase charts. Notable tracks include "I Look To You," "Pray It Up," "Friend," "Already Done," and "I Would Be Lost." Joel currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Andra, and their two children, Olivia and Levi.
