Trey Simon is an Americana singer-songwriter whose music weaves together worship, soul, and acoustic storytelling. With a voice rich in sincerity and a signature fingerstyle guitar approach, Trey writes songs that carry both spiritual depth and heartfelt honesty—reflecting what he calls a “Levitical heart posture.”
Drawing inspiration from artists like Ryan Adams, John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, BB King, Jon Foreman, and Ray LaMontagne, Trey blends Americana roots with the emotional intensity of soul and the narrative spirit of folk. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
Trey’s journey as a performer has taken him from intimate songwriter circles to stages shared with icons such as Patti LaBelle, Andra Day, and Andy Grammer. His moving performances have been featured on WXYZ Channel 7, Fox 2 Detroit, Detroit PBS, and WDIV Channel 4, including during Detroit’s iconic Fireworks Celebration. Within the faith community, he has also been invited to perform at events like the Detroit Red Wings Faith Night and the Detroit Tigers Home Plate event.
His music has received national recognition, earning airplay on Air1 Radio and stations across the U.S. Trey has been featured at the BMI CRS Conference, performing alongside Cory Asbury, Ashley Cooke, and Chayce Beckham, and showcased nationwide with BMI, including the Island Hopper Songwriter Festival.
Committed to excellence in his craft, Trey has worked with leading voices in the music industry. His Crosses EP was recorded with multi-platinum producer Bryan Todd under the guidance of renowned manager Michael Blanton. He is currently recording his debut full-length album with Gabriel Wilson (Bethel Music, John Mark McMillan, Kari Jobe).
In 2024, Trey signed with Maranatha! Music. His first single, “Canaan” (produced by Gabriel Wilson), released on July 25th, with follow-up “Jesus Hold My Baby” released in August. His upcoming debut album promises a soulful mix of Americana storytelling and worshipful reflection.
